September 12, 2026 — Sacuyya Elementary School conducted a 2-day School-Based In-Service Training for all faculty members, themed “Empowering Educators Through Learner-Centered Strategies, Canva, and AI-Driven Instructional Materials.”
The training was organized to help teachers strengthen their teaching practices and develop new skills that can be applied in the classroom. It provided an opportunity for faculty members to learn, collaborate, share ideas, and explore practical approaches that can make learning more engaging and meaningful for elementary learners.
The activity was facilitated by Mrs. Diana A. Sampilo, Master Teacher II, who guided the participants throughout the different sessions and activities. Teachers actively participated in discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on activities designed to enhance their knowledge and confidence in using modern teaching strategies and digital tools.
The training focused on three key areas:
- Learner-Centered Strategies – Teachers explored teaching approaches that encourage active participation, critical thinking, collaboration, and greater involvement among learners.
- Canva for Educational Materials – Participants learned how to use Canva to create organized, creative, and visually appealing presentations, worksheets, learning aids, and other classroom materials.
- AI-Driven Instructional Materials – Teachers were introduced to the use of artificial intelligence tools in developing innovative instructional resources while supporting lesson preparation and classroom activities.
Throughout the training, participants were encouraged to share their experiences and ideas with fellow teachers. The collaborative activities allowed them to discover practical ways of applying the lessons learned to their respective subjects and grade levels.
The training also highlighted the importance of adapting to the changing needs of today’s learners. By gaining knowledge in learner-centered teaching, digital design, and emerging technologies, teachers can create learning experiences that are more interactive, accessible, and relevant to their pupils.
The successful completion of the 2-day training demonstrates Sacuyya Elementary School’s commitment to the continuous professional development of its teachers. Through activities such as this, the school continues to support its educators in improving their skills and providing quality, inclusive, and learner-focused education to the school community.
